Eva Marie is the eldest child born to an Italian father Barry and Mexican mother Josie Nelson. There are three brothers older than her: Nathan Neal, Nick and Neal. They were born and raised in Concord California. When she was a kid she had aspired to become an elite soccer player. Unfortunately in 2002 in her final year of high school, she sprained her ankle. It was her turn to heal and continue playing soccer in the forward position at Diablo Valley College, Pleasant Hill California. At Diablo Valley College, she was awarded her associate's degree. Following her achievement of Junior College All-American Honors, she was enrolled at Arizona State University. There the self-doubt of her caused her to stopping playing soccer. Her next destination was California State University Fullerton. When she graduated with a Bachelors of Arts diploma in business administration, and an additional human resource degree and a minor in human resources, she relocated into Los Angeles. It was in Los Angeles, after her studies in business management and human resource management, she decided to pursue modeling for a job. In the process of searching for a new job, she found a casting notice for W.W.E. The talent scouts were enthralled by her, and she was given a four-week audition period. Then she moved to Orlando Florida, where the Performance Center was located. She joined Total Divas W.W.E on May 13, 2013. show. She then dyed her hair red and donned the name of ring Eva Marie.
